Since our class at Hagukumi Hoikuen is getting bigger, we decided to divide our English Classes into 3 groups.
Tulip – 0 year old, Sumire – 1 year old, Sakura – 2 years old.
Today, we have our english class on Sumire Class – 1 year old . Their ability to recognize different colors heats up at around 18 months and at the same time they begin to notice similarities and differences in shapes, size and texture.It will take awhile before they can be able to name the colors. Most of them can name at least one color by age 3. We start teaching them basic colours first: Red, Green, Yellow, Blue. Children tends to be attracted to bright colors than pastels or muted blends, so we taught them primary colors. We also prepare color matching so they will know where to put the same colors. They were so excited!

We also had our song of the month “Buzz, Buzz, Buzz Oh my little Bee”. The english version of “Bun Bun Bun Hatchi wo Tobu”
